Het Bijenhof
Honey Processing Centre
Innomatic makes Het Bijenhof future-proof.
Het Bijenhof imports and exports dozens of varieties of delicious honey, royal jelly and beeswax all over the world. Very strict food safety standards apply. Until recently, production was still manual and controlled via 20 control boxes. Innomatic automated the production process, thereby guaranteeing the continuity of production and the quality of the end product.
Remote control
Intuitive, accessible operation.
In order to control the production department from a single platform, Innomatic installed one central PLC with various HMIs in production and packaging. The connection between the various installations and their associated PLCs was very important in this regard: they can now be coordinated with each other and operated remotely. Production can be started up, or loading and unloading can take place, without anyone being present in the company. This is done via intuitive, accessible controls.
Smooth reporting
Innomatic also paid a great deal of attention to data logging and reporting in this automation process. Temperature, weight, level and pressure can be monitored constantly. This further improves quality and enables smooth reporting. In the event of problems, the operator receives a notification on the HMI and via e-mail, including an overview of the actions required to resolve the problem.
The quality of the end product has improved
The installation is extremely reliable because it is equipped with redundant networks, power supplies and a UPS. This means that production continuity is always guaranteed. And thanks to constant monitoring, the quality of the end product has improved. Het Bijenhof has thus become an example of Industry 4.0.
