Customer challenge
Mr Mallo is one of the largest marshmallow producers in Europe. Under the motto “to measure is to know”, it wanted to provide real-time dashboards on the work floor and generate automatic reports for management. This allows the management to compare and optimise the performance of the various sites in a uniform manner.
The solution
Innomatic and Ikologik linked the production lines to Mr Mallo's ERP system. Thanks to this intervention, the lines can be set up automatically, without manual intervention by an operator. This saves time and also reduces the risk of errors.
This integration also enabled real-time dashboards that display order information from the ERP on the work floor: which order is currently being worked on, how many products still need to be produced for this order, what is the expected completion time, etc. The feedback of data on completed orders facilitates the administrative work afterwards. Post-calculation, quotations and order comparisons are much easier when all the information is available at the click of a mouse.
Providing real-time information was a big step forward for the company, but Innomatic and Ikologik went even further for the management. Every week, a report is automatically generated for them on the capacity and efficiency of each production line and site. All information is available in an app, which the management can view anywhere, anytime. Benchmarking the performance of the various plants provides interesting insights for adjusting certain production lines.
