Job

Industrial Engineer

Interested in Machine Vision, AI & Automation

Location: Wevelgem
Contract: Full-time, indefinite duration

To support our growth, we are looking for a practical industrial engineer who enjoys combining technology with software and automation.
You will have the opportunity to work on innovative machine vision and AI applications within industrial environments, in close collaboration with our engineering and software team.

Your challenge

You develop and configure machine vision programs using industry-standard technologies and libraries such as Halcon, OpenCV, and PyTorch.
These vision programs are used within our ZULIA Vision platform – our software that connects data, cameras, and machines.

Additionally, you will play an active role in configuring, testing, and optimising industrial vision hardware, in collaboration with our automation engineers.
You form the bridge between software and automation: you integrate vision, test results, and ensure that systems function technically flawlessly on the shop floor.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing and configuring machine vision applications (Halcon, OpenCV, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Testing, adjusting, and optimising vision cameras and industrial vision hardware
  • Supporting automation and engineering projects within industrial environments
  • Collaborating with the software team on vision integrations within ZULIA
  • Contributing ideas for technical improvements and solutions in projects
  • Taking courses on machine vision, AI, and camera integration

Who are we looking for?

  • Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or Industrial Sciences (associate's/bachelor's degree) or equivalent through experience.
  • Interest in machine vision, AI, and industrial automation.
  • Basic knowledge or strong interest in programming (C#, C++, Python, Halcon).
  • Analytical, eager to learn, and practical.
  • Communicative, accurate, and customer-oriented.
  • Driver's license B.

What do we offer?

  • A varied role with a focus on AI, machine vision, and automation
  • Training and guidance from experienced colleagues
  • Projects at the forefront of Industry 4.0
  • A modern office in Wevelgem and a dynamic working environment
  • A market-competitive salary package with fringe benefits (meal vouchers, laptop, mobile phone, etc.)
